This map shows where animals served by LTBHS came from in 2025. Nearly 65% originated in Emmet, Cheboygan, and Charlevoix counties, highlighting our strong regional impact. Overall, 97.5% came from within Michigan, with only a small number transferred from out of state in urgent or special circumstances, highlighting LTBHS’s willingness to step in when help was urgently needed while remaining deeply rooted in our home communities.

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is located between Harbor Springs and Petoskey, Michigan, and impacts the lives of thousands of pets within the community through their invaluable programs in addition to veterinary services, boarding, grooming, doggy daycare, and training.
