Sophie is mostly a quiet, cuddly timid dog. She is very sweet, but very shy with strangers. She does have a lot of energy though and loves to run outside! I believe with the right person she could be a great agility dog, she is very coordinated! With the protection aspect, I believe she would thrive in a home with experienced dog owners that can do the extra socialization and training. She has had experience with a 10 year old child, and a dog. She has not had experience with cats that I'm aware of. She currently lives in a quiet atmosphere, so I believe with training she could thrive in a louder, active atmosphere as well. She has regular grooming appointments with Petsmart and has had no issues. She is a sweet and loyal friend!

Meet Murphy — aka Boog, Booger, and Certified Goofball 🐶🎾 Looking for a dog with the energy of a toddler, the heart of a teddy bear, and just the right amount of chaos? Say hello to Murphy, a 3 year old blue heeler mix. cuddle enthusiast with a pink ball obsession and a personality bigger than your bed frame (which, by the way, is where he prefers to sleep under, thank you very much). Murphy is a high-energy lovebug who thrives with structure, activity, and people who don’t mind getting head-nuzzled before he dramatically flops over like he just won an Oscar. He’s potty trained (just let him out regularly), knows the basics like sit, paw, down, and come, and is working hard on leash manners and learning that jumping for joy at the sight of humans is not always welcome—though in his defense, he just really loves people. He’s lived with both cats and dogs, but can be reactive on walks when he sees other pups—he’s working on it, but he’ll need continued training and patience. Murphy is best suited for a home with a fenced yard (or dedicated daily walks) and humans who understand that a tired dog is a happy dog. He’s not the best match for tiny kids or elderly folks, just because he’s still learning personal space and could knock someone over with his enthusiasm. Murphy has a touch of separation anxiety (he’ll bark a bit when left alone), isn’t a fan of nail trims (you’ll need treats and a little strategy), and while he’s not fully kennel trained yet, he’s willing to learn with the right encouragement. He’d do best in a home where someone is around more often than not, and where love and patience come in abundance. Tito is a domestic long-haired black cat and has been a wonderful addition to our home for three years. We have moved over that time which did stress Tito a bit, but we also have an active household and brought in another cat over the last few months. All of this activity has definitely led to more signs of stress in Tito and we feel it is in his best interest to join another home. Tito is very quiet and keeps to himself most of the day. He is predominantly an indoor cat, but at times will roam a bit outside if prompted.

Pickles is a good kitty, but he would do better in a home without small children. He does well with dogs, but not sure about other cats. We just adopted another male and he has been curious but very aggressive with him and all members of the family since introducing new kitty. Unfortunately, I can’t risk my children getting injured from him.
We took him in as a favor for a friend about 8 months ago. He likes to lounge around and comes gives small amounts of love when he’s feeling lonely - which isn’t as often as my daughters would like. I hope someone with a quieter lifestyle will take him in because he truly is a good kitty.

Teddy is an orange and white Tuxedo cat. He was found living on the streets with his siblings in the suburbs of Charlevoix. Teddy currently lives in a multi-cat household, and gets along very well with other cats. He loves playing with his brother Sterling and they love chasing each other around the house. Winnie is truly the sweetest girl, who wants to please and means no harm in any way, but she was not taught boundaries and how to play. She’s a puppy who doesn’t know her strength. She is amazing walking on a leash and we have a loose leash on every walk.She is very friendly with every person she’s met, both men and women. She immediately bows down and just wants to be pet and loved. She is so gentle when taking treats. When she is the only dog in the house, she has no food or toy aggression whatsoever even when being pet while eating. Even when taking away high value treats and toys she is not aggressive in anyway. She will make the perfect dog for someone in a calm environment with no other dogs. I don’t know how she is with cats, but she has been around chickens and did not chase them or try to harm them. She is very playful and loves to play fetch and will bounce right back to you and happily drop it if she knows you’ll continue to play with her. If I didnt have another dog I would absolutely keep her in a heartbeat but my dog has to be my priority.

Kirra is a 2 year old German shepherd that has lived and more than likely prefers a quiet home. Shes an absolute sweetheart and loves attention/affection and with this can get jealous if there are other dogs around. So the ideal home wouldn’t have another dog and I am unsure how she is around children as she hasn’t been exposed to them much. She is shy at first but once she gets to know you she’ll never leave your side. She is housebroken (with the occasional excited piddle), kennel trained, and knows basic commands. It breaks our heart to have to give her up but trying to keep a safe environment for our others dogs.

Patience is in need of a single couple home with no little children or pets. She gets anxious in big crowds and lots of action. We have 6 children, 5 grandbabies, and 3 other dogs. This is too much for her. She has snipped at the other dogs but never drew blood. She prefers to be the only animal. Patience is spayed, chipped, potty trained, and is use to being home for 12 hour days while we work with no accidents. She loves to play catch (that is here favorite), she likes to watch and join in everything you do. Our neighbors have borrowed her to bring back their dogs, as she is a hurding dog. Kit is amazing, gentle old gal who just wants to be a lap dog. She is house broken, crate trained (although I have not had her in a crate the past couple of years), spayed, great with other cats and dogs as well as with kids. She barks when playing, but does not bark when people come to the door, come in the yard, knock on the doors, etc. She absolutely loves being outside in the sunshine or out for long walks on a leash.

Bud warms up to new adults fast. He needs a quieter home, no little ones or animals. He is high energy with excitement when you first meet him, but after that he is a sweet and layed back dog. If you allow him, he thinks he’s a nap dog and wants to cuddle as close as possible. He likes to be covered up before bed. He’s a lot of fun to play rope with and take him on quiet walks. He is a bigger dog with the heart of a loving pup. His owner was a young man who was not married and had no kids. They spent time hiking, biking, and napping together. Unfortunately he passed away tragically, leaving him alone. My husband and I wanted to try to home him with us, but he didn’t do well with kids. This is a sweet female Tortoiseshell cat, hasn’t been fixed, around almost 2 years old. Only ever called her sweet girl because it just stuck an we never really picked a name, So in that case feel free to do so. She’s a little shy at first but once used to you she is very nice and sweet, likes a little attention, an will cuddle up next to u. She gets along with dogs, preferably calmer. Hi my name is buddy, I am 1 1/2 year old Australia shepherd mix, I am neutered and utd on my shots. My owner recently passed away unexpectedly and sadly the family cannot keep me. I’m good with older kids (10yrs and older) and with other dogs with a slow introduction. Feedings need to be separately as I am food aggressive, need a fenced in yard to run in (or a farm). I am scared and confused as the past couple of weeks of my life has changed a lot and do not understand. My owner fed me 3x a day and I’ll let you know when it’s time to eat. Don’t leave socks around cause I like those. My crate isn’t my favorite place but my owner would put me there when he left but only for 3-4 hours at most.i tinkle when i get scared or excited but i dont mean to other wise i am housebroken. Scout is a German Shepherd. We were told he was purebred and had the option to buy the papers when we got him, but didn’t care whether or not he was purebred, so we didn’t spend the extra money. However, we did see the akc papers stating he is purebred - but his colors say otherwise. He is the BEST boy. He is very friendly with everyone he meets, he does really well with other dogs, and kids! Unfortunately since his fleas have caused an allergic reaction to his skin, he hasn’t been feeling the best and becomes “territorial” when my toddler spooks him or touches the sensitive/painful parts of his skin. Our poor boy just needs out of this apartment so he can finally get rid of these fleas and feel much better. He’s also a working breed, so the apartment life isn’t ideal for him especially now that we have two little ones in the home. We’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, and has been the best boy since we got him. He’s fully potty trained and crate trained. He unfortunately does not like the crate at night time and will bark your ears off if he’s in there. Thankfully, we haven’t had to use it much at night time. He needs excessive amounts of stimulation, or he will find any trash to dig into or any blankets to destroy. The pros outweigh the cons - he’s such a cuddly boy. He still tries to sit on his dads lap when he’s in the car. With training, he picks up everything so quickly!
