Dog Boarding

Each dog and boarded at Little Traverse Bay Humane Society will enjoy a spacious kennel with heated floors, air conditioned kennel in summer, outdoor kennels with heated concrete for warmth in the winter, and over an acre of fenced-in yard to romp and play.

Drop Off: Monday-Friday: 2 – 5 p.m.* , Saturday/Sunday: 2 – 4:30 p.m.

Pick Up: Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.**, Saturday/Sunday 8 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

*Early drop off is before 2 p.m. and is an additional $25 per kennel.

**Late pick up is after 12 p.m. and is an additional $25 per kennel.

Each cat boarded at Little Traverse Bay Humane Society will enjoy a roomy kitty “condo” of their own, spacious room for kitty to relax and play during the day, and large windows to enjoy the view outdoors.

    One-on-one enrichment and training sessions led by our trainer, tailored to your dog’s needs. Choose from the following focus areas:

    The Basics
    Loose-leash walking, basic obedience, polite greetings, and social skills.

    Cooperative Care
    Positive practice for exams and grooming: getting on tables, bath time comfort, paw handling for nail trims, brushing, and gentle introductions to cooperative muzzle conditioning.

    Pattern Games
    Structured, predictable games that build recall, impulse control, emotional regulation, and confidence with crates and transitions.

    Extra Curriculars
    Trainer’s choice of fun and enriching activities such as agility, scent work, tricks, and confidence-building games.

    Prepare your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test while they’re already with us! Dogs will work through the 10 CGC skills and receive a report card highlighting strengths and areas to practice:

    4. Loose-leash walking

    5. Walking through a crowd
