Our camps are supervised by trained staff and volunteers who are background checked, CPR and First Aid certified, and trained in safe animal handling.

  • Camp Tailblazers is open to children ages 6 and older.

  • Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Drop-off begins at 8:45 AM and pick-up is between 3:45 PM and 4:00 PM.

  • Camp tuition is $200 per camper. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your child's spot.

  • Families who cancel 15 or more days before camp begins will receive a refund minus the non-refundable deposit. No refunds are available within 15 days of camp.

  • Campers should bring:

    • A packed lunch

    • A labeled water bottle

    • Closed-toed shoes

    • Comfortable clothing (pants recommended)

    A camp T-shirt will be provided on the first day.

  • Yes! Daily snacks such as fruit, crackers, pretzels, and granola bars are provided.

    Please share all allergy information during registration. Please note that LTBHS uses peanut butter, cheese, and shellfish in animal care, so camp is not an allergen-free environment.

  • No. Personal pets are not allowed at camp.

  • Parents or guardians will be contacted immediately if a child becomes ill and needs to leave camp.

    Camp staff cannot administer medication. Parents should notify staff of any medications that will be self-administered by their child.

  • Absolutely. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all children. Families are encouraged to share information about their child's needs so staff can prepare appropriately.

  • Limited scholarships may be available through grant funding. Families can contact volunteer@ltbhs.org for additional information.

  • Photos may be taken during camp for LTBHS marketing materials and a private camp Facebook group. Parents will have the opportunity to provide photo permissions during registration.
