Join us Thursday, November 13 from 4–5:30 PM for a fun, fall-themed craft that helps our cats find their forever homes! Kids will create colorful “feathers of love” for our shelter turkey centerpiece—and each feather spreads joy to our adoptable cats.

Sip for the puppies and kitties and all our furry friends! Come by the farm and sip to support the animals at Little Traverse Bay Humane Society and Charlevoix Humane Society. A percentage of sales this day will go straight to them to help their animals. They will also be bringing adoptable dogs... who needs to add a furry friend to their family!? Howl at the Moon has been the premier party of the summer for 25 years. Join us Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 6-9 pm at Walstrom Marine Boat Warehouse in Harbor Springs, MI for a celebration to raise funds and save more lives! Join us for a night of laughter and love at Comedy to the Rescue!—an evening of stand-up for a great cause, featuring nationally known comedian Clay Foley. Taking place on Saturday, September 13 at the iconic Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, this unforgettable night supports the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society (LTBHS) and our mission to help pets and the people who love them.

We’ll be back at Birchwood Farms for our fourth annual Putts Fore Paws event! Join us for a fun day of scramble style golf, exciting prizes and contests, lunch and a silent auction benefitting LTBHS. Funds from Putts Fore Paws help us impact the lives of thousands of animals each year.
Tickets are $150 per player or $600 per foursome.

Our shelter is FULL of dogs and cats with big hearts, just waiting to share them with their new humans. Thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation, all dogs and cats that are 1 year of age and older have WAIVED adoption fees May 1-15. Come out and meet your new best friend!

Bark Crawl 2025
This exciting event invites animal lovers to explore the best local bars while supporting a great cause. On April 25, we will party with a purpose at awesome local bars throughout Petoskey.
Every attendee will snag a Bark Crawl bandana (for you or your four-legged BFF) and a VIP Pawty Pass lanyard to receive exclusive discounts at participating locations. The night will begin with a check in at Back Lot Petoskey (starting at 4 pm) to meet our team and get your swag. The bar crawl can be completed on your own, or with fellow supporters you meet along the way! Once you’re done, join us back at the Back Lot with your completed Pawty Pass for the chance to win cool prizes!

LTBHS Spay-ghetti Fundraiser at TAP30!
TAP30 and Little Traverse Bay Humane Society are coming together to raise money for their spay and neuter programs!
For every $20 Spaghetti dinner sold on February 26 at TAP30 (dine in or to go), they will donate $10 to LTBHS! Kids' plates will be available for $12, with $6 from each plate donated to LTBHS!
Petoskey Brewing Rescue Beer will also be on tap, with $1 donated to LTBHS for each draft sold.
LTBHS will be on-site with information about volunteering, a chance to participate in a raffle to win cool prizes, and merchandise for sale!
All donations collected from our "Spay"ghetti fundraiser will go towards LTBHS' Harris Low-Cost Spay/Neuter program. To learn more, visit ltbhs.com/lowcostspayneuter.
Rock Out for Rescue
We’re thrilled to announce our annual Rock Out for Rescue will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 6-10 pm at Gypsy Distillery in Petoskey! Join us for a night of live entertainment, dancing, heavy hors d’oeuvres by Libe Lula, desserts by Simply Sweet by Jessica and JoJo’s Cookie Co., an open bar, raffle, and a silent auction. Local bands Lejet and Yankee Station will be rockin' the stage for a good cause. Courtesy valet parking will be provided.
Tickets are $100 if purchased by January 7 or $125 thereafter.

Wine, puppies, AND a good cause?! What could be better! 🍷🐶🐾 Join us on Saturday, July 27 from 11:30-3:30 at Crooked Vine Vineyards in Alanson! LTBHS will be on-site with adoptable dogs, information on volunteering and donating. Crooked Vine will have live music, and has generously offered to donate 10% of sales from the day back to Little Traverse Bay Humane Society.
